Amazing novel. Incredibly solid story and great, well fleshed out characters. I adore the concept of seeing the peak before reaching it through Jake's interactions with the viper and I overall like how realistic all the relationships are between characters. The different narrative perspectives massively enhanced this novel as it actually makes me care about each character and understand their motives outside what the MC views them as. I recommend and have to offer my condolences to anyone who dislikes the novel as there must be something terribly wrong.

I'm writing the review while being on par with the last released chapter and although the novel is not perfect, should it initially be to your liking, you'll really enjoy it. I will not spoil anything so I'll be pretty vague but still, at least from my point of view, there are not a lot of (if any) stereotypical "drama moments", it has a really good world building and a defined power system with limits extremely the "power of friendship" and bu****it like that. The story progression although linear and steady is slow, not only because the author doesn't skip a lot of things but also because the entirety of the character progression is really detailed and planned. The focus is for the majority of the time on the protagonist, with bits and pieces of lore and information on everyone else here and there. The characters are also adults and behave like that, having their action caused by reasoning and feelings but, usually, with a firm grasp over them, avoiding wasting time and with almost no cliché. About the characters I'll say that some of them are so beautifully written that it pains me not mentioning them here, and whenever you see them you know they're about to give you a good time. That said I highly recommend it and the only negative aspect, in my opinion, is that it is not completed but an ongoing opera.

At first it's pretty cool, but it starts to get boring when the film changes the protagonist's main characteristic for the public who thinks that a protagonist needs to be morally perfect and without mistakes, as they took away his shyness and his prickly and anxious traits

Its a well written novel especially how well it handles the multiverse aspect of it and the MC is likeable. The cast is also nice. I would say it would be best enjoyable when you binge read it. Definitely recommended.

I decided to write a review since I just hit the grey button :(. I honestly can't say that I disliked a single chapter so far, and I've read 890. Amazing characters, not only the MC but all of them, every single one of the important side characters has their own well written story, we sometimes get different POVs which is always nice, I really like the power system and the world building is by far my favourite thing about this novel so far. I can't think of anything that I've disliked about this novel, so if you are looking for something to read, this is it, it's amazing.

The power system is balanced, but I cannot call it realistic or good. It is inspired by RPG games, but it does not have depth and flexibility. I will give an example like this. A man chose the archer class but is not suitable for this class. He wants to change and become a wizard, but he has no mana and skills. Could he be a wizard? Except for the main character, probably no one can change classes or it is very difficult. Even the main character only got the subclass event (like archer -> shadow archer). Otherwise, it is almost impossible to become a pure mage or swordsman. The situation is even worse for a side character or a normal person. Another issue is the novel's slowness and lack of an enemy. no power struggle, no hardship, no crushing defeat, not even afraid of the gods. There must be men whose lineage is strong but who are close to tearing his *ss apart. That's why character development is slow. I read 600 chapters. He walks around like a pet wolf, when he gets angry he says "oh no, I can't lose control" I really wish you would lose control. It makes me angry when a man who suppresses himself because there are rules suppresses himself even more. The side characters, even the gods stale boss is unnecessary. All he did in 600 episodes was to go back to the multiverse and kill a god, how many episodes did he kill in 1 episode? I don't even remember, it was so short and there was no war, I don't know. MC also has a family, right? Has MC's family been mentioned 30 times in 600 episodes? As someone who has read supreme magus, I say that family should be used well in slow novels, but it is not here. So the side characters are weak, we don't really know anyone. Anyway. is it readable? You know, but there are also more readable books. Also, the length of the chapter is satisfactory and I think the grammar is quite correct.

You are wrong about the power system, if you are an archer and you focus on mana and learn how to use it you would be offered a magic archer or pure mage class. We saw this with Jake in one of his earlier class evolutions (d grade) where he was offered pure arcane mage. No need to thank me, just stemming the flow of misinformation.

Yes, I remember this and you are right thank u :) , but you forget one thing, there is no example of changing classes in the story. Whoever chose which class followed the chosen class. This makes me sad.

I honestly just really enjoyed this read as it is a break from all the really intense plots. It’s plot isn’t too major but I like the fight scenes although it is a little repetitive.

This is one of most liked, if not my favorite, novel I have ever read. This is probably the only novel I have read that I was able to read through to completion without needing to take a break. No matter what happens it is entertaining and makes me want to keep reading.

"The Primal Hunter" starts strong with the tutorial but sadly flattens out afterwards. The action scenes against beasts lack tension because the reader knows that Jake simply won’t die, and even if someone does die, they can still be revived in some form. This leads into my second problem with this novel: pacing. I found myself skimming or even skipping through several chapters because they were action scenes that felt irrelevant to the plot and lacked tension. This caused me to only really care for the slice-of-life parts of the story. However, this part is also unfortunately too shallow. Therefore, I can’t recommend The Primal Hunter.
